Familly quarrel
2022, 115x60x40 cm., epoxy composites, porcelain, wood, steel, glass.
Sculpture has an advantage over painting in that it can work with objects that embody meaning and ideas, unlike painting which relies on symbols and illusions. In „Domestic Quarrel“, there are many artifacts that I have a personal connection to and which have a rich history. The composition consists of three figures, with two dominant ones having mixed identities and roles, just as it is in real life. Third figure, a small porcelain boy in a spacesuit standing in the background, is a sweet and romantic childhood reminiscence. All three figures float in space on black amorphous clouds representing fragile foundations of identity, dark and bubbling subconscious.
